Accessibility

Our accessibility commitment

MyMathLearning is working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This page states where we are today, where we're still improving, and how students who need keyboard or screen-reader access can fully participate.

What we support today

Keyboard navigation

Core flows — logging in, joining a class, answering multiple-choice, numeric, and matching questions, and submitting work — are operable with a keyboard.

Screen-reader support

Question prompts, choices, and feedback use semantic markup and labels so assistive technology can read them. We continue to improve ARIA coverage on interactive tools.

Readable by design

High-contrast text, scalable type, and a clear visual hierarchy. The platform respects the browser's font-size and zoom settings.

Color not alone

Status and correctness are conveyed with icons and text labels, not color alone, so colorblind students aren't left guessing.

Graphing & drawing questions

Our coordinate-graphing and drawing-canvas questions are pointer-based (mouse, touch, or stylus). We know that's a barrier for students who rely on keyboards or screen readers, and we're explicit about it:

  • Today: teachers can assign fully accessible question types — multiple choice, numeric, short explanation, matching, and drag-and-drop — so every student can complete the same warm-up through an alternative interaction.
  • In progress: keyboard-accessible coordinate entry and screen-reader-described graphs for the graphing tool, plus a keyboard drawing mode, are on our accessibility roadmap.

If a student in your class needs an accommodation we don't yet fully support, contact us and we'll prioritize it — and recommend question-type settings that work today.

How to report a barrier

We want to know when something isn't usable for a student or teacher. Email us with the page, the device or assistive technology, and what you expected — we treat accessibility reports as priority bugs.
