Delete Your Account

Last updated: October 24, 2026

You can delete your MyMathLearning account at any time, and you do not need to contact us to do it. This page explains both ways to delete an account, what gets removed, and what we may keep. It applies to every account type — teacher, student, and parent.

Delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Sign in at MyMathLearning.com with the account you want to delete.
  2. Open your account menu — your name or avatar in the top-right corner, or the sidebar on a phone — and choose Settings.
  3. In the Account Settings window, choose Delete Account and confirm the prompt. Your account and the records tied to it are deleted right away, and that account can no longer be signed in to.

If you are a teacher, deleting your account also deletes the classes and materials you created, and the students in those classes lose access to them. Anything you want to keep, share or export first.

Or ask us to delete it

If you can no longer sign in, or you are asking on someone else's behalf, email support@mymathlearning.com and we will delete the account for you:

  • Write from the email address on the account, or from your school address if you are a teacher or administrator.
  • Include the name on the account and, if you know it, the class join code. You never need to send a password.
  • Parents, guardians, and school administrators may request deletion for a student under 13; we may ask a question or two to confirm the request came from the right person.

We act on verified requests, and we finish them within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your account and sign-in details: name, email address, and the Google profile link if you signed in with Google.
  • Anything you created as a teacher: classes and join codes, warm-ups, worksheets, assignments, relays, pacing calendars, videos, question sets, and templates.
  • Your work as a student: answers, drawings and graphs, scores, and any teacher feedback attached to your submissions.
  • Photos you uploaded for handwriting features: handwritten work photos and your handwriting practice legend.
  • standardized math assessment scores imported by your teacher, and the progress in your My Math Journey (XP, level, streaks, badges, coins).
  • Links and reports: parent–student links, weekly progress reports, feedback you shared with a class, focus plans you created, and your saved AI preferences.

How long it takes, and what we keep

Deleting your account in the app takes effect immediately: you can no longer sign in, and the records listed above are removed from the running service. Copies may remain in short-term backups, which are purged within 30 days.

A few things are not deleted, and we would rather say so plainly:

  • De-identified, aggregated statistics (for example, how many students answered a question correctly) because they can no longer be linked to you.
  • Payment and transaction records for paid plans, which we are required to keep for accounting and tax purposes.
  • Anything your school or district is legally required to retain. For a school-managed account, the school controls the education record — so if a school request reaches us for a student account it manages, we tell the school and follow its instruction.

Deleting an account also does not cancel a paid subscription. If you pay for a plan, email us at support@mymathlearning.com and we will cancel it for you — there is no charge for cancelling.
